Groundworks
When there were Groundworks being done on our street it caused all kinds of disruption, for two weeks solid there were all kinds of huge vehicles blocking the road, work men digging holes all over the place and plenty of noise. There must have been so many complaints whilst the Groundworks were taking place because everyone had a good moan to me, I would have dreaded being the person who got the weight of it. For me the Groundworks were not too much of a bother, I work a nine till six Monday to Saturday so didn`t really see most of it going on, I must admit it wasn`t nice to come home to cones being all over the street and random holes here and there but that`s life you have just got to get on with it. One person who the Groundworks really affected was my neighbour, being in the fire brigade she works mostly night shifts and usually sleeps all day re charging her batteries for the next shift the following evening so the lack of sleep she was getting was a problem. It was a great relief when the work had finished and everyone carried on as normal.
